Weddings are more difficult than they appear.
sometimes when you attend those weddings where you only stay for an hour because they are a very distant relative or your mom's ex-classmate's son in secondary school kind, you think everything is magically laid out; like elves have already prepared all that you see before you. The music, the food, the arrangements, the decors, the ambiance.
Alas, it is not as it seems. You never imagined the behind-the-scenes rush, the hectic planning and the sleepless nights. However, it is mighty exciting. It does not happen every day.
This is the second time now at a wedding someone asked me if I'm the bride. Funny how it can be concluded so when the bride is wearing black on her wedding day and setting up the technical requirements before her grand display. Perhaps it is my aura or looks which makes people think I'm mature already to have gotten married?;) Lol. Not in another 7 years though. Hmm... by that time, people will probably ask me how many kids I have instead of asking if I'm the bride.
Ahmad says generally, the hantaran makes us look so materialistic. He says for his wedding, he will send a "get out of jail" card. I asked him; do you want grandma to get a heart attack? Ahmad said; "Alaa, I'll just tell her this is an english joke." I do not understand what that means. And I do not think I'd want to try.
Safi says he will have songs by Native Deen, Dawud Wharnsby and Outlandish for the tracks during his wedding.
Syarif says for his wedding, we will have pizza and italian food instead of the usual nasi and ayam masak merah etc.
Sometimes I stare at the bride and groom and wonder how it feels to always have people watching at your every move and talking about you for a whole day. I wonder how tired their cheek muscles are from endlessly stretching them. I stayed for the whole wedding this time as it is my cousin's. After the whole drama ended and the visitors became less and less, it is tres adorable seeing them together and quietly sharing their thoughts of the tiring but happy day. How romantic:)
Need photos but they are all with Ahmad - the official photographer of the day. Will update with pictures soon.

I must say that I agree with Syarif. To be honest, I'm sick of nasi briyani and the kuah merah.
I want them to have oats(eww) :) healthier meal, haha.
oh iman, only you would agree to ahmad's insane ideas and theories. At least SOMEONE understands him.
