phew

my housemates say: Tengok muke alia je ingat toastmasters.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, let my physique be a form of promotion for the event I am passionately striving to make an impact in the lives of young doctors:)

Today has been the most stressing day of my short semester. The new may intake just came in and faizal messaged me in the morning to recruit new members because all the first years (my previous committee) were busy with their stuffs.

SO yes, at break time I found some potential people and announced their names. At lunch time, I explained that I need members and that for those interested, I will be having a meeting in the evening. At 4pm, I conducted the meeting, explaining A to Z and delegated all tasks; ie get approvals, setting out promotions and prepare logistics. I sent in the proposal and faizal reminded me that I have to hand in an official letter to the Student affairs department and admin to request for the program which i so totally didn't know and wrote the letter withint 15 minutes and submitted to them minutes before 6pm which is when they close aand the proposal was approved on the spot because the Head of Student department was so happy that I did not need a budget.

Which was when I finally realized that through all this thing, I still haven't contacted the presenters and speakers yet. Called up the division governor and asked if we can create the meeting BY next wednesday and he said, "no. too short of a notice." actually, he said it nicer than that but that's the summarized version. I felt like crying at the moment after having delegated all tasks to my team. So, I did the only thing I could do; call my dad.

My dad was busy and all so he said he would call me later. Of which I was so very disappointed and scared and telling myself what an idiot I was for not being a competent leader enough to think that I can pull it off within one week's time and at least should have had the decency to call the speakers first before getting the approval and beginning promotion.

That evening, I went to Intelligent Speakers' Club -The Toastmasters at MMU. I always enjoy Toastmasters meeting and for the first time after becoming a member, I volunteered during Table Topics and was voted Best Speaker- after talking about the theme; movie of the month, of which I talked about Children of Heaven. Watch it:) the evaluator for table topics said that she really liked my speech and that I was charming and lovely - which is such a nice compliment because she's the first person to describe me as charming!

So after that, I was still worried and tired and wondering what should I do about the meeting next week?? My dad called me up and apparently he talked to barry (I feel so bad because it looks like im such a tattletale and barry must be so busy with all his other work!). But apparently, my dad got it all worked out and he says he will ask people from his Cyberjaya club if they can take up roles and I will talk to MMU speakers if they can be part of it too- I found one really awesome bubbly girl , her name is Feh Pink!

Tiring, ecstatic, overjoyed, exhausted....

So much to write. Because I just had to let it out somewhere.

on a different note, super awesome night last night outing at putrajaya for the cover girl night shoot. here you go kak atiqah:)
