It took me a few hours to get used to the Wacom. The stylus (the pen) is not at all like a pencil. And the tablet isn't like paper. It's more slippery... And it's quite a new experience because instead of looking at the paper, I have to look up at the screen. I think if the keyboard can talk, Ctrl+Z would be screaming and pleading me to stop pressing them. Lol.
There were 3 bundled software which came with the Wacom which were Corel Painter, Adobe and Photo-- something. Lol. But I really did not know how to use all three of them. Since I use wacom to draw rather than do photo enhancements, I thought that corel painter would be the most useful... But I couldn't find a suitable pen tool to draw with at all. So I got frustrated and put it away for a while... Then got it installed in the other computer which Ahmad uses Macromedia Flash in and this is where I got to draw better:D At least I know where the tools and what to use and everything. A lil like paint... But much more coolerXD Lol.
I tried to use the pressure sensitivity (the harder you press, the thicker the lines) to my advantage but it took quite a few times (and more Ctrl+Z's) until I got the hang of it. It still kinda looks distorted but otherwise the main picture/idea is there.
And I have yet a lot to learn about Flash.. Once i tried to use it through reading the manual and all (I'm not really the person who adventurously clicks on everything and tries them all out... Not so sure why) and I got so bored... But I can always ask Ahmad's help. he is a professional and learnt Flash all by himself!O_o
I am absolutely amazed when I look at the tutorials for inking... I guess it takes up a lot of practise and time...and patience. And more ctrl+z's. Lol. Maybe I should consider taking Graphic Designing and drop medicine. There's a thought...

Ahahaha. I'm so proud of... your little brother! XD For installing it. LOL. Senang jelah to install it, it comes with a CD, does it not? ;P
But yes, sho proud of you toooooo! ^_^ Those lines look good, dude. :D And Flash has that auto-smooth thing that makes it easier, too! Soon you shall venture into the wonderful world of Corel Painter... Although I haven't quite mastered that program yet, but it seriously has the most realistic brushes you'll ever see. The style is definitely more painter-ish rather than digital inking stuff, but I've seen people do really clean black inking with Painter. Just ... experiment, that's the word! :D
(I'm the opposite, tak larat nak read the Help files and stuff~ Just click all the buttons and menus ikut suka hati jeh. xP )
I've heard you could buy different tips for the tablet's stylus if you dislike the slippery feel, but I'd say you'll get used to it. I always have to remind people to "look at the screen! Not at your hand!! -__- " when they try out my tablet, hahah.
Have lotsa fun!
wooooooooooowwwwww! hold that thought!!
"maybe i should consider taking Graphic Designing and drop medicine" WHAT!?!??!?
r u SERIOUS!?!?!
*sigh* whatever it is, i know ive said ds before, im always by urside. but ds time, no! hahaha no lahh kidding. :P sukati u lahhhh
Yeah I know that it's so easy to install but there were some problems with the CD thingy thing at the CPU... Lol.
Ahhh... *comprehension dawning* So Painter is more for painting... I was looking more for digital inking stuff so yeah, I guess I prefer Flash. And Flash's auto smooth thing is super cool!:D
A tablet PC would be that you draw on the screen right? Or am I wrong?
Anyways Aki, lol Of course I won't drop Medicine. There's just a thought. Ahahaha. Maybe I should take joint Graphics Designing in Medicine. Like drawing diagrams and stuffs. Ahahaha.
oh u noe iv seen a lady use it at the photo shop to touch up some old guy's pic. hahah no more wrinkles!
Yea, for a tablet PC you draw on the screen, and also for the Cintiq line of Wacom tablets. (Tablet = Monitor.)
And m-hmm, Painter has lots more of the "traditional" type of brushes, compared to Photoshop. I think Flash and Photoshop are both good for digital art style.
You could always be... a... medical illustrator? ^^; Or something like that? :D
