Speechless

I am forced to blog about this due to the intense feeling surged because something arrived in the mail this morning!

So to just let it out; thank you SOO MUCH SITI NURUL FITRIAH BT SAMSUDDIN!!!! You are just... amazing! Thank you thank you thank you! I am so honoured. Thank you for taking the extra mile... for taking the extra step... I watched and I cried and i sceamed and squealed and I laughed and I smiled like i'm experiencing some inhumane emotional disorder. Thank you for putting together an indescribablyunbelievably awesome video for me. And thank you everyone for putting up with Nurul's (persistent, I'm sure:P) request to wish me. Teachers, juniors, classmates; I am so very elatedly ecstatic and so very grateful. Thank u nunu; I love u too:)

I wanted to call you straight after I watched it but I couldn't reach you. This is the first thing I can do for now. Will call you once I can! We must absolutely meet up and eat sushi!:D

26th November i thought would just be another day like the past 18 years. But it wasn't.

First thing at 12am on the dot, the doorbell rang while I was revising Born Haber Cycle for Chemistry's Chapter 6 the next day. And who but Aki would be standing there catching her breath after running all the way:) Together with brownies and cheesecake from secret recipe and a letter! Of course, got bullied here and there as usual; but was still really delighted at the delightfully delicious surprise. It was superly awesome that you came running all the way. You are an angel:) Thank you for staying up with me and keeping me company all the way. I don't think you'll ever know how much it really means to me.... Thank you soo much Aki!:)
My sarang^^

Just before I slept, read Fuddy's letter which was written days ago of which I too received days ago before my birthday so that I'd be able to read it in time. Thanks for remembering Fuddy!:) Woke up at 5am and found a small box lined with a ribbon with a "HAppy Bday Alia Nad" note next to it. Thank you Alina:)

At college, I couldn't focus on anything really except the upcoming chemistry test. But after that, we had an unprecedented sudden reflection session in the discussion room. So while we (E70B; housemates) were all waiting there; Ms Fiza and NAjah came in with with J.Co doughnuts and a bouquet of pink roses and white daisies with an adorable teddy bear and polka dotted ribbon around its neck. And they all started singing Happy Birthday and Ms Fiza was holding out a Jco doughnut with two lit candles stuck into it. I was passed the bouquet and was asked to give a speech. I was so speechless and pleased; I wasn't so sure what I was saying and I tried to get together my sentence structure right but to no avail; it was all a jumble and I just didn't have the words enough to express how thrilled I was.
JCo Donuts. Lookie at the candles~ I ate the one with the blueberry filling:)

So we sat there eating doughnuts and chitchatting and Ms Fiza was telling everyone how she wished she wanted to plan that everyone "buat dunno" that it's my birthday and suddenly BAM! Like this. I think I might have terase if none of my housemates wished me; which half of them did just because of this. But I was awfully overjoyed that they did this for me. So for the rest of the day, I ended up walking around with a bouquet of flowers:) Later on i got a sweetly signed card from my housemates. THank you u guys; u guys are awesome!>_< Teamforce E70B and our mentor. Ms Fiza's always mistaken for a student because she looks so young. She's the one with the purple tudung^^

I thought this whole drama would end there. But no, it didn't. The two people; Aki and Sharon (though separately) publicized that it was my birthday thus many people from foundation were wishing me and I just sheepishly thanked and smiled. I am not used to having this many people wishing me; what with 26th Nov always being on a end year holiday.

During Chem Lab, I got a card signed by the May Intake girls wishing my happy birthday:) It was so utterly sweet and again, I was jubilantly... speechless. Thank you aainaa and everyone for writing in it.

And just when Lab was about to end, Sharon started singing Happy birthday softly and the rest of the class starting joining in; eventhough the instructor was still there! So yeah, I wasn't so sure on where to look, just smiled sheepishly- again.

I was practically walking on air that day...:) I had a prebirthday buildup, a smashing birthday bash and a postbirthday surprise. It's like a chemistry lab prelab report and post lab assignment. Lol.

Thank you everyone for wishing me verbally or through message or through emails. And putting up such a fantastic birthday for me:) I really had a fantastically thrillingly awesome day! And again, I'm loved. Thank you for reminding me nunu:)

Bouquet and bear:) Which is now named J.Cocoa.

Laughter the best medicine

During last week's PCP (english) class, our topic was about "Happiness". First off, Miss Fiza talked about being happy and the definition and how we relate it to laughter being the best medicine.

When she asked what's the first thing that comes to mind when you talk about happiness, among the replies were "Smileys", "Laughter", "Moments". And all those kinds of things.
We talked about how happiness has stages. Whereby there's the mild happiness, and then there's glad, happy, and then ecstatic or overjoyed or blessed cheerful contented delighted elated intoxicated joyful joyous lively merry peaceful pleasant pleased sparkling sunny thrilled tickled upbeat walking on air *phew!*. I remember during Sec4 when Teacher Azeera gave us this worksheet to do on how to classify the stages of happiness. I never thought there were soo many words and ways to describe this... emotion. XD

As to how laughter relates to medicine? Najah countered: Due to the secretion of endorphines. And I just realized at the end of the class my mom always told me that when we laugh, we expand our lungs and more oxygen comes in and so on and so forth....-

Anyways! We were handed worksheets (worksheet!>_<) basically to pinpoint what is our stage of happiness. When there was a question asking: State the things which you thought would make you happy but didn't. Write down in terms of people, possession, achievements and events and write down the false promise for each. And my pen hovered over that question for so long. Because there was nothing i can write down. For some reason, I cannot recall anyone/thing/place/time where i was looking for happiness there but didn't find it. I suppose when we always focus on the positive outlooks in life, we can balance out the situation and look at it as "building character" (as Calvin's dad would say:P)

In the end, I contradicted many of the questions and my answers went over the lines given and I even wrote onto the sides. Questions given were like, "How much do you rely on circumstances to make you happy?" or "Write down whether diet, exercise or change in your hair, makeup or wardrobe would bring you closer to your ideals. Which features do you need to accept as they are?"
I couldn't help going on and on about how it's always looking at the positive side and being thankful for everything is the ultimate key to happiness. lol.

So now our assignment is to produce and present a pamphlet about "What makes Jack healthy, wealthy and wise". A health guideline to reduce stress.
Fun!:D

I am loved:)

It may sound conceited to say that as a title but after completing two scrapbooks of memories, it's how I feel. I am so happy because up to date, I've been able to finish these two books and there are still other materials which I need ANOTHER folder to fill up with:) It's absolutely heart warming to look through them all. Sometimes it's difficult to paste them all in, having to glue or cellotape them or cut them to size. but it's really worth it once i've filled everything up. Sometimes I feel like it's such a task and "when will i ever finish this?" when i first started. But i didn't have to worry at all because it really filled up fast!

I keep tidbits, even chocolate wrappers when I get them under such a special occasion. I treasure small scribbled notes of "thanks" or "sorry". I paste in receipts of memorable moments, usually when it's with someone. I stick in cards i got for raya, for my birthday...

Most of them are paper material. I dont usually stick in photos because they are such a hassle to print out and cost much.

There are letters from my mom because she writes occasionally (she is my first penpal anyways). There's a letter from my dad which i've been nagging him to write and which he finally gave me after i persisted that I really want one for my graduation. There's abundant of letters from the elf. I think i've said this before but it's still so funny when I think about it. There were so many even though we sat next to each other in class for the few months she stayed in Msia; and she still posts letters even after she went abroad. There are also uncountable letters from Aki. with the korean writings and all the merepek kerepeks she writes; which i love:)

Nunu's poems are in there too; even the ones she wrote on exercise book paper, and lyrics she penned down on a ripped paper.. There are chitchats with iman, the one we used to write when we were in lower secondary; lots of them starting with "are u mad at me, iman?". hihi.

There are many drawings from Kausar, all of them beautifully drawn and meticulously made. Owh, also many drawings from Siraj and origamis he made. There are small notes from Fuddy with the "caaliya is so busuk" and from yaya. There's my driving license mark - showing that i passed.. Wishes for my exams and my future undertakings... My first ever official paycheck in black and white... There's that section where there are letter saying happy birthday because that year I requested for a letter for my birthday:P

There are a few printed emails; among them from my primary school principal. Hellos from Nina, all the way from Germany. There are Nurun's letters from Brunei. Eventhough i get them very rarely, the envelope comes in a bundle because when she writes, there are at least 4 pages in there. There are a few letters though which are heartbreaking. Some saying that i've changed, some which made me cry so much when i read them. But it still makes me smile now:)
I know emails are much faster and many can be sent at a time. But snail mail and handwritten notes/letters/scribbles (as i've mentioned before in a previous post) are always the best.

Make me happy. Write me a letter. Or scribble a small note. Even better, buy me a chocolate. Anything:) and it'll be pasted in my special super awesome scrapbook.

Che Misteri

Wednesday: chemistry lab experiment; obtaining empirical formula of magnesium oxide. It was supposed to be a simple experiment but I think this was the craziest lab experiment so far. We had to repeat it 4 times because each time, there seemed to be something that we missed out. It's either that we didn't cover it instantly, or we didn't burn the WHOLE metal strip or we didn't follow the procedures accurately. But this was because there were confusions and our lab instructor said that we have to burn it first because if not, the experiment would take too long so we skipped a few instructions and well, see how well that turned out...

Someone once told me that doctors have no life. Like once they decide to forever be indebted to this profession, they literally marry their job. Sometimes I wonder; is this really the life that I want? Going through what I'm going now where things may get 100% more challenging and doing it for the rest of my life?

I'll post more later. Quite tired now. It's been a tough week... Thanks u guys for calming me down when I panicked.

imns open house

To quote from Iman, i am "not one of those chicks who post pictures on their blogs just to promote their new cheekbones. nyaha."

Okay2, I shall start with Iman's open house since we fought that day on if any of us actually read each others' blogs. Keep your hair on, Iman. Here goes the ultimate blog of a lifetime about your ultimately awesome open house which was inspired by (technically ME:P) our idea for a Raya Reunion for our batch and actually a get-together before saddiq flies off.

As (almost) always, I am the first guest. But of course, I am never a guest, I'm dubbed the 'regular' over there at iman's house. Yes, Iman's house is my third home (first my real home and second cyberjaya). I'm such a regular there that I have to do the dishes as well since I'm like a stepchild there. I know where they put the salt, the cocoa, the butter, the laddles and forks and spoons in her huge spotless kitchen. I know that you shouldn't touch the kuih table at the living room because Auntie Ilaine can so spot the fingerprints and both she and iman are so kiasu. I know so much, Iman knighted me as the second hostess:P

That was because Iman's chinx and sunway people came over. So she had to run here and there and attend to everyone else. One funny thing i realized during raya is that when people come, they wanna see the host. But the host is too busy making the guests comfortable (by getting drinks and filling up the empty kuih containters) and well... its a funny scene:P

Anyway, Fuddy came over early too! So we played taboo for a while. Auntie Ilaine too joined in and so did everyone else, until the first guests came over (which was Fattah and Musa). So after that, everyone came and the guests flooded in. The reunion was meant to be at 2pm but they came late and it was til 4pm til everyone (who was supposed to attend) came. Iman so 'didn't wanna talk to anyone' who was coming late or who didn't come. I do/did not wanna be one of them. Owh, Nurul called all the way from singapore:) It was really so sweet of her and my phone got passed around to everyone. THank you nunu:)

By 4pm, i was already so restless and eyeing the cake nonstop. We finally got to cut the super yummy moist cake:) Ate smore and took pictures (go to www.adnigeneration05.blogspot.com for more:)).

Later on we played some taboo with iman's sunway friends downstairs. (Iman why do we have to call it chinx against malays??? u said it yourself that racial issues should not even exist:P) Oh well, we had lotsa fun with them. Yeah, jowee is cool:) It's nice meeting u guys.

So yeah, all you people who didn't come. I really wish you did. Because it's meant to be a reunion for all of you. For all of us. Because we hardly meet and I really miss you people soo much!>_< You guys missed out on a lot. Please come next year!:)

If there will be anymore:P
