bermulalah....

1. we say saya bertanya
2. it's menunjukkan (that was seriously a typo)
3. we say menggunakan , not "mengguna"
4. "tolong berikan tunjuk ajar"

Half my holiday

Assalamualaikum!

It's a bit late but finally, I am over and done with Semester two!:) Last paper was Physics Lab last Wednesday. Sadly, I was already so frustrated at the last minutes that I really could not think of what else to do but just enter (what Najah would term as) "Fasa Tawakkal" (this is BM. you know who you are). After our invigilator finally took our papers, I entered "Fasa Blank". I'm not sure how or why exactly it happens but suddenly you feel like you're not sure where to head or what to think of. Lol. It's been a crazy cramming week.

I managed to get away from Cyberjaya that night:) On Friday, we drove back to Batu Pahat and spent a couple of days there. My grandmother's house is huge enough that when you play hide and seek, it may take a few good hours before a really good hider would be found. So when Ahmad nonchalantly splashed a bucketful of water while I was about to enter the toilet, he sped off outside to hide behind a pillar where it was really hard for me to get back at him. Now, a good way to get back at your brother who has unfairly executed such a heinous crime upon little you would be to pretend to forgive and forget this and wait for the next day and innocently call (with a hint of helplessness) him outside and for him to please look at that part of the grass because there seems something offhand..
and SPLASH! let all the water from the bucket you have gleefully hidden behind the door soak through his clean shirt. Run away to safety and scream in glory:) Owh, and smirk while you watch his defeated face as he comes up with his wet shirt, fuming at your revenge and his unexpectedness at such an awesomely wicked plan. *yay!*

The quote says it all.

The next day we went to Johor to stay at my Auntie's. And on Monday, for the first time, I stepped foot in Singapore:) Funny how we've been to so many far off placed but never to the neighbouring country. Oh well, Singapore is... like Malaysia. If not for seeing chinese faces whereever i turn, it could have been Malaysia... So, on singapore we journeyed on foot (that is, after we got dropped of near the MRT). We took the MRT to Jurong and actually spent a WHOLE day at the Science Centre. There is not enought time for a DAY to finish exploring that humongous and stimulating building. But I think we went through most of it. Pretty lot of cool things. New cool things too! Oh well, one of the cool things I saw was the Tesla Coil. When volts of electricity is generated in the ring, the hydrogen balloon placed inside would literally burst into flames. It was amazing. For more, please visit Singapore's Science Centre. It's pretty awesome:) Btw, thanks Nunu for offering your guide:)

That's actually Eistein "climbing" up a rope from the 3rd storey to the groundfloor. It's to demonstrate how he's not actually climbing but rather using the motor mechanism his hand and legs are literally glued to.

The Science Centre took up a whole day. And later on, we journeyed on foot yet again to search for a place to pray. It took a pretty long time since we were 1. On foot. 2. Tired. 3. Had no clue where the nearest Mosque was. Everyone was searching for a dome or a minaret but when we finally found the Mukmin Mosque, to everyone's utter astonishment, it looks like a... building. Like a business building. Well, we entered and I was really amazed that it is also a madrasah. It's really cool. There was a cafeteria inside, classrooms, lounges and it's 3 storeys high!
Took the MRT back to Bugis and journeyed back to Johor:)

Next day! The plan was meant to be stopping by PD and checking out the Eagle Ranch resort. BUT! There were too many attractions and interesting things for the guys and my parents really like the place too. So on last minute decisions, my dad decided to stay overnight in the Log Cabin.
The Eagle Ranch has an ingenious theme to it. It is basically like a western-ish cowboy-ish country style. Complete with Band Wagons, horses, mares, geese, turkeys, rabbits (!), tepees, obstacle courses, ATV's, go karts, paintball fields etc.
Eagle Ranch Outline.

The four bedrooms are exteriorally decorated as bandwagons.

So we spent half the day at PD and then finally drove back to my beloved ampang!:)
And that's half of my year end holiday^^

already?

It's almost the end of year already. Seconds tick, hours fly, days go, months pass.. and before you know it, it's almost the end of year already...

Funny how so many things has happened when you recall the past year events.

phenomenal

Last night we finally presented our drama for Professional Communication and Presentation Class. After a whole month of preparations, it's finally done and over with. All four classes of foundation had to present a drama based on a classic that our lecturer gave during class.

It's been a crazy week though as our drama night drew closer. We've been practicing til late night and preparing at every free time we had...

Our drama was based on the classic Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I think when we first had to read the four classics, YGB was the longest and most wordy story. I read up the other stories but didn't have any interest in finishing up YGB. This was the same with most other people; even one of the english lecturers admitted it too:P

The story is set in Salem Village (i think during the 1600s). The time whereby people thought that if you practiced a religion other than Christianity, you are following the footsteps of the devil. Plus the witch hunt and all that...
Basically, this man called Young Goodman Brown heard about The Devil and was so curious to meet him. Brown reluctantly leaves his darling good wife Faith and then meets the Devil in the woods. He resists the Devil but throughout his journey in the woods, he finds out that the people he thought were good (like the woman who taught him about Christianity, the Deacon, the Minister), were found to be following the Devil too! And he also saw his wife Faith during the devil worshiping ritual. And when he shouts to Faith to "resist the wicked one", he blacks out... He wakes up and wonders if everything was a dream or if it was real...He was plagued with thoughts of the ritual... and he lived his life in doubt, never trusting anyone until his last moment in life...

It sounds so tragic when we first read about it.. And it still is a tragic story... But I think we presented it up pretty well:)

And I think the most important things is the process to finish up this play. I mean, all the hardwork and cooperation everyone put in to do all this. It's always such a heartfelt success trying to complete something and having to go through so many obstacles and hardships to reach that goal. We had problems, we had arguments, we had complications, we had sleepless nights. All the drama you can find without having to present one:P

But in the end, it turned out spectacularly phenomenal. After the play, everyone was all smiles and congratulating and laughing and like "Yes! It's finally over!" It's the end of the week, the end of the drama... finally I can breathe:)

until the 19th that is. Lol.
